Ellen van Battum

Welcome on my site, where I introduce you to me and my work.

I'm Ellen van Battum, 1953, born in Velp in the Netherlands.  Grown up in an artistique and music loving family. This made it possible that I could experiment with different materials and had the freedom to create what I wanted.

After a study fashion drawing and school of arts and design, finished with succes in 1978.

Since 1978 autonomous artist and teacher to various schools and  institutions in the Netherlands. I had from 1978 regular exhibitions till now.

To solve blockades which can appear by the students and myself, while creating art, I studied different disciplines.

 I created during the years my own authentic style.

Most of my work is in oil- and acrylpaint, also watercolours with pencil . I let me inspire by the landscape where I am.
